چکیده
Abstract Wind tunnel test is a critical way to investigate flutter characteristics of aircraft, particularly in identifying the transonic dip phenomenon aeroelastic design. The continuous wind has advantages over blow-down long running time, wide bandwidth dynamic pressure, and stable flow field. Thus, more suitable for tests. Flutter techniques are studied FL-62 tunnel, first large-scale China. A protection system real-time signal processing developed ensure safety efficiency. boundaries horizontal-tail model investigated Mach number regime between 0.65 0.98. In test, structural vibrations measured via strain gauges, deformations pressure distributions non-contact optical techniques, predicted modal identification method.

11-Foot Transonic Wind Tunnel
This paper describes a modeling method and a new optimal control approach to investigate a Mach number control problem for the NASA Ames 11-Foot Transonic Wind Tunnel. The flow in the wind tunnel is modeled by the 1-D unsteady Euler equations whose boundary conditions prescribe a controlling action by a compressor. The boundary control inputs to the compressor are in turn controlled by a drive ...
متن کاملA Shock Tube Driven Transonic Wind Tunnel
A small transonic wind tunnel was designed, constructed and calibrated in order to provide a tool for the study and demonstration of transonic flow phenomena. The wind tunnel makes use of flow properties following the propagation of a shock wave along a tube in order to create the transonic flow. This is in contrast to conventional transonic facilities which are supplied from a reservoir or com...

متن کاملWall Interference and Boundary Simulation in a Transonic Wind Tunnel With a Discretely Slotted Test Section
A computational simulation of a transonic wind tunnel test section with longitudinally slotted walls is developed and described herein. The nonlinear slot model includes dynamic pressure e ects and a plenum pressure constraint, and each slot is treated individually. The solution is performed using a nite-di erence method that solves an extended transonic small disturbance equation. The walls se...
